As you probably remember TikTok was banned in January for a weird 12 hour or so stretch. Again, we went through another threat of a ban and will again be on the precipice of one come June 18th. It’s funny because everyone had so much anxiety surrounding the first ban with a sharing of almost one another’s wills and testaments in the grief of saying goodbye. This most recent time the energy is completely different. No one cared. We’re desensitized. Ban it, keep it. It’s all very meh. The app isn’t really the same since the first ban as it is.

That being said, a lot of room is being made for innovators and creators in the app space, because let’s be real, no one wants to go back to where I’m sharing this. 😂 I’m already a beta tester on Neptune, which I’m very excited about. Over the holidays, before the first TikTok ban, I joined Bluesky, but didn’t really participate much. Bluesky is much more reminiscent of the original Twitter, which I love, but it really isn’t the place for video. However Skylight (also run by Bluesky) is! And it’s very TikTokeqsue! So whether TikTok stays or goes, please find me on Bluesky and Skylight. Doesn’t matter which one you follow me on because you follow me on one, you’d be following me on both. I plan to be more active on Skylight, which will automatically go through to Bluesky. I hope to see you there! 🦋

While love readings and spirit baby readings will always be popular I noticed a larger need in the collective that I feel I hasn’t really been met on a large scale. Within the past few years we are bombarded with terrifying headlines, division amongst one another, and a capitalistic society that looks to be on the verge of collapse. Between a constant surge of bad news whether it’s from legacy media or social media and rising concerns over the cost of living and stagnant wages I find people are more so pressed for a spark of hope rather than the need to know what their person is thinking. That is the intention with this deck - to give people a little inspiration, encouragement, support, and joy in what is a very challenging and transformational period of time for humanity. Because every message is crafted with a ray of sunshine you can use this deck as a daily affirmation or to give you genuine information in moments of struggle. These messages of support could be applied in many areas of life. 🫶

Aside from this being my 🔟th oracle deck, another cool thing about it is that every single image on every single card is a picture that I myself have taken personally. I don’t consider myself a professional photographer at all. These were all taken on an iPhone with maybe a little bit of editing in the Lightroom app. But I figured what better way to express some inspiration by none other than pictures that have personally inspired me. It’s empowering to know none of these were stock photos or AI. Most of these pictures are from when I lived in Los Angeles, here now in Colorado, a few from Chicago, Vegas, Utah, and some other places when road tripping across the country. If you’re familiar with any of those areas, maybe you’d recognize some of the imagery. 📸

The content creator/small business journey is not for the faint of heart. You undoubtedly will be working harder and longer hours than any regular old 9-5, but chances are you’ll be doing something much more rewarding and feel fulfillment in your heart and soul. You may experience challenges of competition within your niche, haters, trolls, feeling invisible as you’re lost in the algorithm shuffle, and might even be suppressed by the very social media tools you’re using. A lot of backwards stuff can happen to discourage you.

But, I’m telling you here and now - do 👏 not 👏 give 👏up! 👏 Slow and steady wins the race. Consistency DOES pay off. You don’t need 100,000 followers who only see you occasionally, but at only 1000 rabid fans (that means regularly engaged and not lukewarm), you can be just fine. 👌

One thing I’ve started doing is interacting with more creators who are in my same niche. It helps boost their visibility for one, but it also builds community and relationships. Now unfortunately, you do have to be careful when you do this because some unnamed platforms (dum dum gram) can flag you for spamming, when you’re just using these platforms for what they’re intended for - socializing, but if you pace yourself, you should be ok.

Do I expect other creators to do the same for me? Absolutely not. I do, however, trust the universe to provide for me where and how I need it. I enjoy doing this though because I know how frustrating and heartbreaking it can feel to put your all into something, believe in yourself, and feel totally unheard and unseen. I may not be able to fix that for myself, but if I can help someone else not experience that pain, I will do my best to make sure of that. 🫶
